A wedding isn’t just one day for me! My time begins as soon as I get an initial enquiry and the excitement kicks in. From there it’s months of planning, pinterest board inspo’ing, emailing and getting in touch with suppliers. Bringing us to the day itself, holding your flowers, fixing that tie, people herding to the extreme and getting caught up on the dancefloor in the evening! To the after, delivering your photos and designing your beautiful wedding album.
Couples hire me not just for my photos, but for my years of experience, personality and professional guidance. I have photographed hundreds of weddings over the years, in every style and every type of venue you could imagine!
Booking. Booking is usually instant, and everything is done online! We discuss your day and decide which package you’d like to go for.
The details. Once I get the ‘yay! book me in!’, I send along your invoice and contract. Once paid and signed, you’re all booked in. Easy peasy! This can all happen as quick as a couple of hours!
Extras. Lots of my couples opt for an engagement session, these are so much fun! It’s also the perfect opportunity for us to get to know each other better too. Think of it more as going for a walk somewhere beautiful and me snapping lots of pretty photos along the way.
Planning. Over the months, we’ll keep in touch. A few weeks before the big day I’ll send along a questionnaire for you to fill in which gives me all of the info I need, allowing me to craft a timeline of your day and how I’ll work. I also get in touch with your wedding planner and videographer just to say hi, and research your venue to make sure I’m 100% prepped and ready to go!
Arrival. I like to arrive in plenty of time before the ceremony. This is the time where I move your flowers and shoes to an appealing place, and guide you towards some lovely light for some pretty pre ceremony portraits. Always calm and never in the way, I then like to take a step back and let the moments happen naturally.
The daytime. My approach is completely relaxed and unobtrusive. Usually with my couples, only a minimal amount of group photos are requested, and we keep things casual and fun. This is when I take a step forward with some gentle direction, making sure to do these shortly after the ceremony so you and your favourites can all let your hair down afterwards. The rest of the time my photos are completely documentary, blending in as a guest and capturing people naturally.
Portraits. With some creative direction and lots of gentle guidance so you look and feel your best in front of the camera, I let you both laugh and chat to each other, leaving me to catch my signature dreamy, happy, pretty photos of the two of you! Maybe a quick 15 minutes after the ceremony, and another 15 minutes in the evening when the light is beautiful.
The evening. There’s always such a buzz in the evening! I love to capture the start of the party atmosphere. If you’re kicking things off with a first dance, I stay for that, and if everyone is up and dancing I always love to stay for a few songs, leaving you all to dance the night away.
Previews. Expect an online gallery brimming full of highlights of the day a week after the wedding. I don’t just edit one or two, I give you a whole lot! All to keep you going until the rest are ready.
Finished Photos. With your initial previews, I will also give you an exact date on when to expect your photographs, usually 6 weeks after your wedding date. These are all delivered within your own personal online gallery, which is online for 10 years. Download your hi res photos straight from here, favourite them into your own folders, and even order fine art prints directly from the gallery. Send the link to family and friends for easy sharing!
Albums. Once the photos are delivered, it’s time to design your heirloom album. Mark photos you would like including as favourites in your online gallery, and I get started with designing each spread, telling the story of your day. You then get to make any revisions until you’re 100% happy it’s perfect, and I then send the design to be handmade. The entire designing, printing and shipping process takes around 6 weeks.
